Here at ISDS, we pride ourselves on feeling superior to others
That's why we've compiled a list of educational documents that serve to enlighten the soul, and create wrinkles of the brain. In no particular order, that list goes:
- Das Kapital (Karl Marx)
Notes: The foundational text of Marxist theory, so foundational that the theory didn't even have a name, so Karl named it after himself. If you're going to even pretend to be a leftist of the political spectrum you should have already this.
- Industrial Society and It's Future (Theodore Kaczynski)
Notes: Uncle Ted coming live from his prison cell with a hot take about how technology is destroying the world. Schizo or a genuine warning? Sorta both but you decide in what quantities.
- Atlas Shrugged (Ayn Rand)
Notes: This book is so fucking boring.
- The Jungle (Upton Sinclair)
Notes: A book that was supposed to expose the horrible conditions that factory workers suffered through in 1906 and espouse the virtues of socialism, instead Americans grew outraged that their meat was prepared in such filthy conditions and ignored all the human rights violations stuff.
